How is bingo played anyway?

In Bingo players are encouraged to buy numbered cards. The cards must meet specific requirements and appear in a specific format of 5 x 5 grid that each corresponds to the word B-I-N-G-O. There is a Tombola with 74 numbers in American Bingo and 90 in European one. A draw out of numbers is conducted, till somebody contrives to fill out the entire 'Bingo' pattern, normally, on the vertical, horizontal or diagonal row where there is a line with five numbers. If a whole card is completed, it is called a "blackout". The different filled out patterns provide the players with the winning prizes.
